Dear Delegates,
Greetings to all
 
As it is stated in the first Principle of the Global Compact: “The United Nations and therefore its members’ framework on the Global Compact primary responsibility is to respect the protection of internationally human rights”.  Dear delegates and representatives of each company involved in this committee, we want to point out, that the responsibility that you are going to assume is really important, because the possible solutions or treaties involved in your decision will mark (potentially) the economical system that courses nowadays the world.
You will have the opportunity to debate two topics, in which you will have to come up with quick, concrete and very wise recommendation letters in order to fulfill your very duty as members of the Global Compact. Moreover, we want to remind you of the power of your words. Every one of you will have the possibility to proof whether you are able to handle negotiations and get to an agreement in order to respect the laboral rights and the world economic crisis and, on the other hand, re-structure the ecological commitments regarding Principles 7, 8 and 9 of the Global Compact declaration.
We are pleased to announce you that your presence and decisions in our meeting will determine in a way the future of your country and world, enterprise or organization. Having that in mind, we demand you to find a rightful solution to these topics and, in that way, provide a service to the “global community”. We hope that your coming to ULSACMUN 2010 will result a fruitful and rewarding experience for each one of you as well as for the committee.
We want to express our gratitude to Fatima López, Lizbet Záyas and Erandi Cerbón, because of their dedication to elaborate the handbooks of this committee.

Topic A: Laboral rights and economical world crisis: Setting policy and addressing skateholders expectations.
 
Laboral rights and the economical world crisis, is a big problem which is affecting governments, enterprises and families. The increase on process of goods and services make them more unreachable and it cause damages on enterprise’s revenues which leads to unemployment and dissatisfaction of the people.
 
 
Topic B: Review and update of commitments regarding Principles 7, 8 and 9 of Global Compact.
 
According with the principles of the Global Compact all nations, enterprises and organizations must respect and accomplish the principles 7, 8 and 9 in order to get positive actions, which will lead them to its development and to contribute with actions that will help the whole world. The world needs a prominent change in order to climate change which is affecting us economically and socially in major scale.
